ChemSketch v12.01

First the 2-deoxyribose-5-phosphate is choosed in the DNA/RNA kit tab in template window. Then the 2-deoxyribose-5-phosphate is combined with adenine in the same tab which is DNA/RNA kit tab.

On 1st October 2012, our team were introduced to and learned about chemist sketch application in the orchid laboratory. That application was new for us and it was fantastic. This application is about making sketches related to chemistry, from simplest of chemical compound to complex set of lab apparatus. We are encouraged to master that application because it would be easy to draw compound or molecule in future assignment. Our first assignment was sketch a short DNA-strand which is 2-deoxyriboso-5-phoshate and combination with adenine, cytosine, guanine, thymine, beta-maltose and beta-cellobiose. There are some pictures below about those compounds.

2-deoxyribose-5-phosphate was chained with cytosine, guanine, thymine using the same step as adenine.

Next is the β-maltose is choosen from Sugar: beta-D-pyr tab in template window. Then, the same structure is combine to become β-maltose short strand.

After that, for β-cellobiose the steps in β-maltose was repeated. Lastly, the assignment was done without any problem with the help of the ACD chemsketch manual.
